Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon 100% natural orange marmalade such as Polaner’s or St. Dalfour
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon unseasoned brown rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest from about 1 small orange
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened orange juice fresh-squeezed if possible
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds turkey breast tenderloins or boneless turkey breast

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine all marinade ingredients.
  • Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with olive oil spray; arrange tenderloins in pan. Pour marinade over tenderloins, turning to coat evenly. (If time allows, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or up to 1 day. (which will allow flavors to blend and marinade to penetrate turkey.) Turn occasionally, spooning marinade over tenderloins.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake, uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F, basting with marinade half-way through.
  • Remove from oven; cover loosely with foil. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice as desired depending on preferred thickness.
  • Spoon glaze over tenderloins before serving.

Notes

Make Ahead and Storage Tips: marinade may be prepared up to 3 days ahead. Cover and refrigerate. After marinating tenderloins, cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or up to 1 day. (which will allow flavors to blend and marinade to penetrate turkey) Turn occasionally, spooning marinade over tenderloins. Leftover baked tenderloins may be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Before reheating, mix turkey slices with glaze, coating thoroughly. Cover and heat at 300 degrees F for about 8 minutes or just until warmed through. May also be frozen for up to 4 months.
Leftovers would make great sandwiches!
What are turkey tenderloins? Cut from the area located under the breast, they are very tender and are 100% useable with no waste. Be careful not to overcook or the meat will become dry. Read more about turkey tenderloins including additional cooking methods here.
