Yummy Mother’s Day Menu ‘n Recipes for Your Junior Chefs

“Mommy, can I PLEASE help cook a special dinner for you for Mother’s Day?” The answer should be YES! Satisfy your junior chefs-in- training with this easy to make menu, which contains bunches of fun kitchen duties for kids of all ages to share.

Complete Mother’s Day Recipe Collection

For a creative starter, your pre-school bunch will adore helping to decorate these simple Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Canapés.

Children with all levels of cooking skills will also love building their own special Farmer’s Market Salad made with lots of colorful crunchy veggies tossed with my snap to whip up Creamy Honey Dijon Dressing.

Your older ones will feel so accomplished after you teach them to make my Sweet ‘n Tangy BBQ Meatloaf and/or Cheesy Macaroni Veggie Bake. Both are really tasty and would be great additions to your family’s dinner menus.

A yummy kid-friendly “side” suggestion could be Apricot-Lemon Glazed Carrots ‘n Pineapple. Carrots never tasted so GOOD!

And for the perfect sweet ending, what kid doesn’t like to bake cookies and make their own ice cream? Crispy Choco-Chip Peanut Butter Cookies are sooooo easy to make with only 4 ingredients and no mixer needed. Better consider making a double batch to allow for extra snacking! Choco-Chunk Peanut Butter Blitz Ice Cream or Double Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream is super-easy to do with or without an ice cream maker.

Round out your lovely Mother’s Day Dinner with Mini Fruit Kabobs with Chunky Strawberry Yogurt Dip Just assemble an array of colorful bite-sized pieces of fruits along with blunt-edged wooden skewers and watch your kids have a blast creating yummy rainbow kabobs!

So get out the aprons, bowls, mixing spoons and other kid-safe kitchen tools and let the memory making begin! And kudos to you for teaching your children essential culinary skills that will last a lifetime. Oh- don’t forget to supply plenty of paper, scissors, glue, paint and crayons so your kids can create beautiful placemats and centerpieces to complete this unforgettable meal for you and the family.

Happy Mother’s Day!
